Shannon Silsby, FNP-C
Shannon Silsby is a Board-Certified Family Nurse Practitioner. She obtained her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at the Catholic University of America. Upon graduating, she worked in a level-one trauma center emergency room. While working in the ER, she attended Georgetown University and graduated in 2017 with her Master of Science in Nursing. She then transitioned to primary care, which sparked her passion for family medicine.
As a provider, Shannon loves developing relationships with families and enjoy having conversations with her patients so they can decide on the best course of treatment together. Her passion is women’s health and preventative medicine and she finds that education about healthy lifestyle choices is the best prevention. Shannon is confident in managing both acute and chronic conditions and is excited to care for patients of all ages.
When she is not if the office, Shannon enjoys cooking, watching football (go Pats!), going to Durham Bulls games, and spending time with her boyfriend, Quinn.
